Dr. Catherine Loisy is an emeritus Associate Professor in Psychology and Science of Education at University of Western Brittany (Université de Bretagne occidentale – UBO) in Brest. She is a member of the CREAD (Centre de Recherches sur l’Éducation, les Apprentissages et la Didactique – EA 3210) and the S2HEP (Sciences et Société ; Historicité, Éducation et Pratiques – EA 4148) labs. She obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University Pierre Mendès-France in Grenoble (France), and her French Habilitation thesis to supervise research (HDR) in 2018 in Educational Sciences from the ENS in Lyon. She supervises four ongoing PhDs.
Dr. Catherine Loisy has conducted several national studies supported by the General Directorate of Higher Education and Professional Integration of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation in France. The theme of Dr. Catherine Loisy's research mainly focuses on the professional development of teachers at the digital age. She is working on the elaboration of the notion of ‘development trajectory’. In order to study it, she develops a methodology mobilizing different tasks and textual genres.
