Yves-Marie Saint-Drenan


Yves-Marie Saint-Drenan graduated in mechanical engineering at Ecole Centrale de Nantes, France, in 2003. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in 2016 at University of Kassel (Germany) on the modeling of regional PV power generation from meteorological data. He was successively researcher at CEA (GENEC laboratory at the origin of INES), at ISET (Kassel, Germany), at Fraunhofer IWES (Kassel, Germany) and since February 2017 at Mines ParisTech. Yves-Marie Saint-Drenan has led numerous projects linking meteorology, renewable energies and their integration into the network. It contributes to the research activities on meteorology for the energy of the OIE laboratory by these activities on modeling, characterization and forecasting of renewable energy. He is co-organizer of the Energy Meteorology session of the annual conference of the EMS (European Meteorology Society).
