Yoan Léger - chercheur CNRS à FOTON


Y. Léger obtained a PhD degree in 2007, at Néel institute in Grenoble where he investigated the optical properties of individual magnetic quantum dots and demonstrated the optical detection of a single magnetic atom spin in the solid state. He then moved to B. Deveaud’s group in EPFL (Switzerland). His work focused on the non-linear properties of semiconductor microcavities in the strong-coupling regime from polariton superfluidity to multistability and ultrafast all-optical spin-switching. As a postdoc, he co-supervised the work of 4 PhD students. Y. Léger joined FOTON Laboratory in 2012 as a CNRS researcher to work on semiconductor micro-resonators. Y. Léger is the co-author of 35 publications and a referee for Nature Photonics, Physical Review Letters and Physical Review B.
