William Fauriat, Assistant Professor at Industrial Engineering Laboratory (LGI), CentraleSupelec, Université Paris-Saclay

I am an assistant professor at CentraleSupelec, Université Paris-Saclay in the Industrial Engineering Laboratory (LGI)

My research experience is mainly structured around the modeling and analysis of randomness and uncertainty and around data and information processing. From the theoretical perspective, this involves probability theory and many tools from stochastic modeling, statistics, inference, learning and prediction. My works is many applied to risk analysis, reliability analysis for components and systems and maintenance optimization.

My current research activity relates to the joint use of probability and decision theory as a framework to guide decision under uncertainty notably by addressing proper risk control (robust decision making), learning mechanisms and data and information collection (value of information), conditional decision making, as well as the question of modeling choices (model uncertainty).

Keywords: probability theory, stochastic modeling, decision theory, statistics, Bayesian methods, learning, information processing, value of information, numerical methods, risk analysis, reliability analysis, maintenance optimization
