Publications Vincent Tourre


Dr. Vincent Tourre (M) is associate professor at Ecole Centrale de Nantes since 2009, in the team CRENAU of the lab AAU. He holds a Master thesis in Computer Science and a PhD thesis in Engineering Sciences. His research interest starts with the use of natural lighting during the early stages of architectural design, and continues now with the modeling and visualization of urban data dedicated to urban planning and GIS applications, and the analysis of the morphology of urban public spaces from a pedestrian point of view.

He participated into a SME project (EnVIE) about the creation of sustainable indicators (2011-2012), a CNRS project (LiPaD) about natural light simulation and urban data modeling (2011-2013), and a european project (Built2Spec) about building structure failure detection (2014-2018). He was the co-organizer of the “Eurographics Workshop on Urban Data Modeling and Visualization” during 4 years (2013-2016). He is currently participating into a SME project (TyCity) about citizen concertation with 3D urban moackup, and a regional project (VisUrba) about the visualisation of urban data.
