Vincent Koehl was born in Créhange, France, in 1978. He graduated from the National Institute for Applied Sciences (INSA) of Lyon (France) in mechanical engineering in 2001 (M.Sc. degree) and received a Masters Degree in acoustics in 2002. In 2005, he received a Ph.D. degree for his work about the effects of structural uncertainty on sound quality accomplished at the Laboratory for Vibration and Acoustics (LVA). Vincent Koehl is now Associate Professor at the University of Brest (Lab-STICC CNRS UMR 6285), France. His main research interests are the perceived quality of sound reproduction systems, 3D sound perception, spatial audio recording and rendering techniques. Vincent Koehl is a member of the French Acoustical Society, elected to the Board of the Sound Perception Group.
