Dr. Vincent GUIPONT, born in 1965, is appointed as Research Full-Scientist at MINES Paris- PSL (Paris Sciences et Lettres Univ.). He prepared his PhD at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in 1994 and joined the Materials Research Center in Evry (near PARIS) as post-doc and then as permanent research staff in 1996. After 20 years of collaboration in the C2P group (Competence Center for Spray Processing), he became an expert in the field of materials, surfaces and interfaces mainly focusing on thick coatings obtained by plasma spraying and cold spraying of powders. During this period, he has been also working in the field of laser shock processing and participated actively to the development of the LASAT (Laser Shock Adhesion Test). Since 2006, he is co-organizing the biannual meetings of Cold Spray Club and related EUCOSS symposium held in PARIS. He obtained his Habilitation degree from the Limoges University in 2013 and joined a new Research Group "GEM" in 2020.
