Dr. Vincent GUIPONT, born in 1965, is appointed as Research Full-Scientist at MINES Paris- PSL (Paris Sciences et Lettres Univ.). He prepared his PhD at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in 1994 and joined the Materials Research Center in Evry (near PARIS) as post-doc and then as permanent research staff in 1996. After 20 years of collaboration in the C2P group (Competence Center for Spray Processing), he became an expert in the field of materials, surfaces and interfaces mainly focusing on thick coatings obtained by plasma spraying and cold spraying of powders. During this period, he has been also working in the field of laser shock processing and participated actively to the development of the LASAT (Laser Shock Adhesion Test). Since 2006, he is co-organizing the biannual meetings of Cold Spray Club and related EUCOSS symposium held in PARIS. He obtained his Habilitation degree from the Limoges University in 2013 and joined a new Research Group "GEM" in 2020. Dr Guipont has also been involved in teaching for more than twenty years, mainly in Master M2 courses at MINES Paris and other PSL universities. Since 2022, he is co-head of the [Master's degree (M1-M2) in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE)](https://psl.eu/en/education/master-s-degree-materials-science-and-engineering) within the ISAI Graduate Program of PSL.
Le Dr. Vincent GUIPONT, né en 1965, est Chargé de Recherche à MINES Paris- PSL (Paris Sciences et Lettres Univ.). Il a préparé son doctorat à l'Ecole Centrale de Lyon en 1994 et a rejoint le Centre de Recherche sur les Matériaux à Evry (près de PARIS) comme post-doc puis comme chercheur permanent en 1996. Après 20 ans de collaboration dans le groupe C2P (Competence Center for Spray Processing), il est devenu un expert dans le domaine des matériaux, des surfaces et des interfaces en se concentrant principalement sur les revêtements épais obtenus par projection plasma et projection à froid de poudres. Durant cette période, il a également travaillé dans le domaine du traitement par chocs laser et a participé activement au développement du LASAT (Laser Shock Adhesion Test). Depuis 2006, il co-organise les réunions biannuelles du Cold Spray Club et le symposium EUCOSS qui s'y rapporte, à PARIS. Il a obtenu son diplôme d'habilitation de l'Université de Limoges en 2013 et a rejoint un nouveau groupe de recherche "GEM" en 2020. Le Dr Guipont est également impliqué dans l'enseignement depuis plus de vingt ans, principalement en Master M2 à MINES Paris et dans d'autres universités PSL. Depuis2022, il est co-responsable du [Master (M1-M2) en Science et Génie des Matériaux (SGM)](https://psl.eu/formation/master-sciences-et-genie-des-materiaux) au sein du Programme Gradué ISAI de PSL
