Présentation

Directeur de Recherche /Director of Research INRAE, UMR 547 PIAF Clermont-Ferrand (France) https://www6.clermont.inrae.fr/piaf Ecophysiologiste de l’arbre en environnement fluctuant / Ecophysiologist of the tree in a fluctuating environment. (Français) My research activity focuses on the vulnerability of trees to the constraints of winter and freezing temperatures, but also to multiple and recurrent constraints, in particular hydric and thermal constraints in forests, in productive agro-systems and for city trees. In order to monitor in real time these multiple constraints of the tree in various environments, I have co-developed the PépiPIAF system for continuous monitoring of the diameter variations of the organs (e.g. trunk, branch or fruit) of a tree (or a plant) very precisely (to the micron), without disturbing its functioning and by measuring at the same time, the air temperature. https://anr.fr/Projet-ANR-11-ISV7-0003
