Ecophysiologiste de l’arbre en environnement fluctuant / Ecophysiologist of the tree in a fluctuating environment.
Mon activité de recherche porte sur la vulnérabilité de l’Arbre aux contraintes des températures hivernales et gélives, mais également aux contraintes multiples et récurrentes, en particulier hydriques et thermiques en milieu forestier, dans des Agro-système productifs et pour les Arbres de Ville. Pour suivre en temps réel ces multiples contraintes de l’arbre dans des environnements variés, j’ai co-développé le système PépiPIAF de suivi en continu des variations de diamètre des organes (ex. tronc, branche ou fruit) d’un arbre (ou d’une plante) très précisément (au micron), sans perturber son fonctionnement et en mesurant en même temps, la température de l’air. My research activity focuses on the vulnerability of trees to the constraints of winter and freezing temperatures, but also to multiple and recurrent constraints, in particular hydric and thermal constraints in forests, in productive agro-systems and for city trees. In order to monitor in real time these multiple constraints of the tree in various environments, I have co-developed the PépiPIAF system for continuous monitoring of the diameter variations of the organs (e.g. trunk, branch or fruit) of a tree (or a plant) very precisely (to the micron), without disturbing its functioning and by measuring at the same time, the air temperature.
