Sylvain Rigaud


My research interests concern the behavior and fate of nutrients, trace elements and radionuclides in the aquatic environment. I’m particularly interested on biogeochemical reactions and transfers occurring in the sediment, the water column and at their interface. I also have interest in the evaluation of the bioavailability, bioaccumulation and impact of trace metals and metalloids for benthic organisms.

I’m using approaches combining instrumental analytical chemistry, in situ methodologies, laboratory experimentations, transport-reaction modeling, thermodynamic calculations, passive sampling and radioactive tracers.
