Full professor in material sciences at the boundary between Physics and Earth sciences, my research activities are centered on the study of the structure of glasses at the atomic level. I developped analytical methods of glassy materials (Mössbauer spectrometry and X-ray absorption spectroscopy) adapted to the disordered nature of these materials by coupling experiments, molecular dynamics simulation of the structure and spectra calculation. More recently, I started studying alteration processes if glasses of geological or historical interest in order to related the structure to the durability properties.
I am teaching physics at the L level and material sciences in master.
Since january 2015 I am head of the Geomateriaux and Environnement Lab (http://lge.u-pem.fr/). Concomitantly, I am head of the Institut Francilien des Sciences Appliquées (http://ifsa.u-pem.fr/) since septembre 2015.
