*Mon activité de recherche concerne la cardioprotection au cours de l'ischémie-reperfusion myocardique. En effet, à ce jour, 30 ans après les premières descriptions des lésions de reperfusion, il n’existe toujours pas de traitement efficace permettant de les inhiber spécifiquement. En effet, seules les lésions d’ischémie sont prises en charge grâce à la reperfusion myocardique (réouverture de l’artère occluse) par thrombolyse ou par angioplastie coronaire par le cardiologue interventionnel. Ainsi, mes projets de recherche sont focalisés d’une part, sur l’étude des mécanismes des lésions de reperfusion et d’autre part, sur l’étude des mécanismes endogènes de cardioprotection afin d’identifier les cibles potentielles pour la mise au point d’outils thérapeutiques.*
My research activity is focused on the study of the mechanisms of both myocardial ischemia-reperfusion and cardioprotection. Indeed, to date, 30 years after the first descriptions of reperfusion lesions, there is still no effective treatment to specifically inhibit these side effects of reperfusion therapy. Indeed, only ischemia lesions are managed through myocardial reperfusion (reopening of the occluded artery) by thrombolysis or coronary angioplasty by the interventional cardiologist. Thus, my research projects are focused, on the one hand, on the study of the mechanisms of reperfusion lesions and, on the other hand, on the study of endogenous cardioprotection mechanisms in order to identify potential targets for the development of therapeutic tools.
