Présentation
Stefan Weithoffer received his Ph.D. in 2018 from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, where he worked with his doctoral advisor Prof. Norbert Wehn on implementation issues of high-throughput Turbo decoding and designed several TurboDecoder IP in the course of collaborations with academia as well as industry. Several of his designs have been successfully integrated and manufactured in Systems-on-Chip (SoC) on 28nm. Since September 2019, he is an associate professor with the department MEE at IMT Atlantique.
In 2020, he received a prestigious JCJC grant from the french ANR agency for his project TurboLEAP, which started in March 2021.
His research focus is centered around the joint consideration of algorithms and hardware implementation targeting area- and energy-efficient ASIC solutions for baseband signal processing
