Research Areas
My area of research concerns the analysis of the processes of urbanisation, territorial development, and metropolisation in the context of the globalisation, climate changes, and adaption in the post-soviet countries (Baltic, Russian Federation), Arctic and Sub-Arctic regions; but also before in the territories in transition or in development (Africa, India, and The Maghreb). Geographic Analysis is based on the development and implementation of remote sensing spatial monitoring systems (constructed with hyperspectral and high temporal and spatial resolution images, morphometry, artificial intelligence, massive data’s image processing, etc.), multi-temporal geographic knowledge systems, and spatial simulation.
