Présentation

**Research Areas** My area of research concerns the analysis of the processes of urbanization and territorial development in the context of globalization, climate changes, and adaption in the post-soviet territories: South-Est Baltic, Siberia, The Arctic, and the Sub-Arctic regions, including the coastal zones. I am working also in Africa (Niger, Chad Lake...), before in India. Geographic Analysis is based on the development and implementation of Earth Observation remote sensing monitoring systems and geo-simulations: multispectral, hyperspectral imagery, artificial intelligence, massive data image processing, multi-temporal geographic knowledge systems, GIS. **Geographic information science** -Remote sensing, image processing, and image analysis -GIS, spatial modelling, and geo-simulation -Knowledge models, geographic ontologies, and artificial intelligence **Urban geography, territorial development, and adaptation of the climate change and globalisation** -Metropolisation -Territorial development and adaption of climate change and globalization -Environmental interactions -Geopolitical issues **Geographic areas** -The Arctic and Circumpolar regions -Post-Soviet countries and Siberia -Baltic and Nordic countries -The Mediterranean area -West Africa **Scientific leadership** -U-Arctic Representative (AMU) (2022-) -Co-Head of the research cluster (UMR 7300 ESPACE) Transformations and Urban Futures (2024- ) -Co-Head of the Spatial analysis research cluster teams (UMR 7300 ESPACE) (2018-2023) -Head of the research team Geographic Image Analysis (UMR 7300 ESPACE) (2018-2023) -A representative of the international affairs (CNRS INSHS) (2019-) -A member of the ESPACE laboratory streaming committee (2018-) -A member of the French-Russian University (Space Observation and Sensors) (2020-2022) -An associate researcher of the LIMEEP-PS (OVSQ, Paris Saclay University) (2023- ) **Academic leadership** -Director of the master’s program of Geography (GAED) (2013-) -Head of the master Geomatics and Spatial Modelling (2020-) -Head of the Double International Master in Geomatic and Environment (2016-2024) -Head of the master COAST (2018-2020) -Member of the Faculty Study Committee (2016-) -Member of the Faculty Pedagogic Committee (2017-) -Executive committees of the Institutes: SoMuM (2019-), ITEM (2020-), OCEAN (2021-) **Science diplomacy, and expertise** -French Ministry of the Foreign Affairs: +Member of the Scientific and Strategic Council of the Foreign Affair (2020/21- ) (TRIAC area) +Arctic Council Representative (PAME, SDWG, A-SDI) (2014-2022) -Member of the Russian Chinese Arctic Science Gov.
