Présentation
Dr. Sandrine Selosse is researcher at the Centre for Applied Mathematics (CMA) of MINES ParisTech in France since May 2008. After a PhD in Economics in 2007 at the Research Group in Law, Economy and Management (GREDEG) of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis in France, her research activities focus now on the long-term modeling of energy system and the assessment of international energy and climate policy issues. Particularly she implements and develops extensions for the bottom-up world energy system model, TIAM-FR (TIMES Integrated Assessment Model), a TIMES family model from the Energy Technology Systems Analysis Program (ETSAP) under the aegis of the International Energy Agency (IEA). Moreover, she has a central role in animating the Chair Modeling for sustainable development where she also coordinates the interactions with its industrial partners. Created in December 2008 by the CMA and the CIRED (International Center of Research in Environment and Development), this collaboration between academic, institutional and industrial actors aims to develop decision making tools about energy and climate issues. Researches implemented in this context are based on the articulation of economy-resources-climate factors and on the synergy between bottom-up and top-down models. Sandrine also teaches to the Specialized Master “Optimization of Energy System” and to engineers from MINES ParisTech on long-term energy system modeling and on the international climate negotiations.
