Présentation
**Reserach interests**
Food and agriculture are the main market of polymer materials. The properties and usage of those materials need to be eco-designed to contribute to the decrease of the environmental footprint of the branch. I am developing novel packaging concepts aiming propose alternatives using biobased and biodegradable polymers meeting high quality and safety standards. My scientific expertise includes physical chemistry of polymers and polymer physics, functional properties and formulation of polymer materials, aging and degradation studies, food/packaging interactions, analytical chemistry. Within this context I supervised to date 11 doctorate thesis, participated in 6 national and international research projects and contributed to the development of a research unit concerning safety of Food Contact Materials.
**Contributions to scientific associations:** French association of calorimetry and thermal analysis (AFCAT) - elected member of the advisory board; French network on food packaging (RMT ProPackFood)
**Coordination of projects and contributions:**
2010-2014
National French research project BIP-ADEME “Creabiom” – Development of biodegradable multilayers for food packaging using the byproducts of the vegetable oil industry
Partnership: 2 industrials; 2 academic laboratories; 2 technology transfer centres
2017-2021
National French research project ANR “GASP” – Development of biobased and biodegradable high barrier food packaging
Partnership: 1 industrial, 2 start-ups, 5 academic laboratories
2017-2021
Contribution to the unit UMT SafeMat (AgroParisTech/LNE) labelled by the French ministry of Agriculture on security of Food Contact Materials
**Teaching**
I staff member of the first ranked French Engineering School in Agricultural and Food studies and Forestry (2019 international QS Ranking 4). My teaching activity includes lectures, laboratory courses and project supervision in food and polymer sciences, green chemistry, packaging science for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
**International contributions**
Main contribution to the eco-design module of the European Project Fitness – open courseware platform for food packaging: <https://fitness.agroparistech.fr/fitness/lectures/>
Project module coordinator in the Master Erasmus Mundus BIOCEB (European Master in Biological and Chemical Engineering for a Sustainable Bioeconomy)
