Biographical presentation


Born in 1982, Samuel Challéat is a PhD in geography, a guest researcher in the GEODE laboratory (Environmental Geography, UMR 5602 CNRS-University of Toulouse 2) and coordinator of the RENOIR Research group. His current work focuses on the various actions carried out by territories to preserve darkness, enhance the night-time environment and fight against light pollution. He is also the author of the general public book entitled Sauver la nuit. Comment l'obscurité disparaît, ce que sa disparition fait au vivant, et comment la reconquérir, published in 2019 by Premier Parallèle.
