Area of activity

My work concerns large-scale observation and experimentation systems of terrestrial and marine (agro)ecosystems and information systems and the dissemination of biodiversity knowledge coupled with them. I am particularly interested in new methods of data mining and data representation in the form of graphs. This formalization of knowledge makes it possible to envisage the use of new methods to analyze heterogeneous data, to propose scientific questions emerging from the data (and not the reverse, which is the classical scientific approach), and to make Scenario proposals dependent on contextual variables that can be used in the area of decision support. I wish to continue to invest in the development of multidisciplinary research programs and partnerships involving scientists and public actors. FAIR data management and open science addict and "Data Management Plan with FAIR Compliance" evangelizer.

Recent and ongoing research programs

Ongoing

  • EOSC Life - EOSC-Life brings together the 13 Biological and Medical ‘ESFRI’ research infrastructures (BMS RIs) to create an open, digital and collaborative space for biological and medical research. The project will publish ‘FAIR’ data and a catalogue of services provided by participating RIs for the management, storage and reuse of data in the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
  • Erinha Advance - ERINHA Research Infrastructure was successfully set up and has now entered into its operational phase. ERINHA-Advance is a H2020-funded project which aims to continue supporting the successful operation of the ERINHA Research Infrastructure to ensure its long-term sustainability.
  • D2KAB - Data to Knowledge in Agronomy and Biodiveristy project create a framework to turn agronomy and biodiversity data into knowledge –semantically described, interoperable, actionable, open– and investigate scientific methods and tools to exploit this knowledge for applications in science & agriculture
  • PARSEC - The PARSEC project is designed to provide a unique opportunity for data and synthesis scientists to collaborate and exchange in real-time toward the goal of improving research outcomes, data sharing, and data reuse. It will also help pioneer new scientific and data science technologies aimed at improving both the management and conservation of global biodiversity.
  • Foosin - project is working to facilitate the progressive implementation of FAIR principles by data managers and producers in agriculture and agri-food. Improved data management will facilitate interdisciplinarity and reproducibility of work while reducing data duplication. We are particularly interested in the application of FAIR principles to semantic resources (ontologies, thesauri…) which are themselves key elements for making data more FAIR (Principle I2).
  • TRAFIC - Areas of potential high-interaction between marine traffic and marine mammals in French West Indies: this project aims at improving the knowledge on the pressure of maritime activities on the marine environment in the Caribbean Sea. In particular, a master internship focuses on studying the spatiotemporal co-occurrence between marine traffic and cetaceans.
