Présentation
I work on natural processes in Earth Sciences, using a physics based approach, theoretically, numerically and experimentally. My work focuses notably on fracture, friction, faulting, liquefaction, avalanches, stylolites... The processes I study involve flow of mixtures of fluids and solids, granular materials, saturated or not, deformation processes, mechanics and chemistry, ...
I am a CNRS scientist (Research Director, i.e. senior researcher) at the Earth Science Institute of Strasbourg, "Institut de Physique du Globe de Strasbourg", IPGS, UMR 7516, CNRS/Université de Strasbourg.
