Rémi Rouffaud was born in Saint-Yrieix la Perche, France, in 1987. He received the Diplome d’ingenieur degree in mechanical engineering in 2010, the M.Sc. degree in acoustics and vibrations from ENSIM, University of Le Mans, Le Mans, France, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Tours, Tours, France, in 2014. In 2015, he held a post-doctoral position at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since 2017, he has been with the GREMAN Laboratory, University of Tours, as an Associate Professor. His current research interests include ultrasonic transducers, piezoelectric materials, and the ultrasonic characterization of biological media.
