Ir. Régis Hocdé is research engineer working in the ‘MARine Biodiversity, Exploitation and Conservation (MARBEC)’ research unit. His expertise lies in the observatory systems, scientific information systems and data management. He managed the development of efficient infrastructures for managing large and diverse data sets, standards, interoperable information systems, services and tools. He was a ‘research infrastructures and observatories’ national expert for the French authorities (MESRI, AllEnvi…) and the European organizations (ESFRI, GBIF…). He is currently involved (as co-PI) in different international programs (‘ReefTemps’ sensors network in South and West Pacific, ‘Lengguru’ in West Papua (Indonesia) and ‘Megafauna’ on the global ocean) at the crossroads of ecology and marine biology, omic data production, observation systems and data dissemination management.
