Bio

My academic activity started at Université Denis Diderot - Paris 7 with a PhD obtained in 1992 dedicated to the non destructive evaluation of bondings by means of ultrasonic Lamb waves. During my PhD I started also teaching general physics.
The I have been hired as an assistant professor at INSA de Lyon (Engineering school ) in a material science laboratory (GEMPPM now MATEIS).
I teach Electromagnetism, Waves propagation and Optics at sophomore level. I also teach NDT-UT and practical works of acoustics for students of fourth year.
From 1999 to 2004 I have been the Head of studies of the European First Cycle Program of INSA (EURINSA, about 160 students). This program is dedicated to
freshman and sophomore studiants coming from all over Europe and french students.
I was also in charge of the spanish students recruitement from 2000 to 2008.
From 2003 to 2005 I was the Head of EURINSA program.
As a researcher I moved in 2012 to LVA laboratory, still at INSA, where I develop research projects on SHM and NDT.
I supervised 6 PhD thesis ans collaborated to 8 more.
I supervised more than 20 master thesis.

 

Après avoir obtenu une thèse en Acoustique Physique à l'Université Paris 7 Denis-Diderot, j'ai été recruté comme maître de conférences à l'INSA de Lyon en 1992, dans le laboratoire GEMPPM (Groupe D'Etudes en Métallurgie Physique et Physique des Matériaux), devenu depuis MATEIS (Matériaux Ingéniérie et Science). Mes activités de recherche concernent l’utilisation des ondes guidées dans la caractérisation et l’évaluation non destructive des matériaux. J'ai aussi contribué au développement de systèmes de SHM basés sur l’utilisation de pastilles piézoélectriques collées sur des structures composites.J'étudie également la propagation d’ondes ultrasonores dans les milieux hétérogènes et anisotropes, comme les aciers austénitiques que l’on rencontre dans certaines soudures industrielles.

Membre du LVA (Laboratoire de Vibrations et Acoustique depuis 2012, je participe, à la recherche et au développement de techniques de contrôle non destructif.
