Olivier SIMONIN is lecturer in English linguistics at the University of Perpignan – Via Domitia. His main research interests include syntax and semantics, pragmatics and stylistics, as well as diachronic linguistics and medieval English.
He has co-edited a special issue of Anglophonia, the French Journal of English Linguistics (#19), on a posteriori modalization with Henri Le Prieult (2015), another on conventional and implicit meaning (2019, #28) and, with Caroline de Barrau, Formulas in Medieval Culture III (La formule au moyen-âge III, BREPOLS 2021). He is currently working on an edition of the English medieval romance Sir Gawain and the Green Knight with a translation into French.
