My scientific interests relates to geographical modeling and spatial analysis of processes in permafrost landscapes, under conditions of climate change, permafrost degradation and human impact in the zone of continuous permafrost distribution of Eastern Siberia (Yakutia in particular). Research methods are based on the Knowledge-based interpretations of Remote Sensing data (Image Analysis, Multitemporal Analysis, Geographic Ontology of Landscapes). Now, my research work focuses on modeling the sustainability of permafrost landscapes.
