Biographie
==========
Miguel Ortiz est ingénieur de recherche au laboratoire GEOLOC de l'IFSTTAR. Il a obtenu son diplôme d'ingénieur en Mécanique, automatisme et ingénierie en 2001 à l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers. Il a rejoint le laboratoire après 6 ans passés dans une entreprise où il était "architecte système" pour des applications automobiles. Expert en systèmes électroniques embarqués, ses intérêts scientifiques se concentrent sur le développement des nouvelles technologies autour de la navigation des ITS et des piétons. Depuis 2017, il est le coordinateur (convenor) du groupe européen de normalisation CEN/CENELEC JTC5-WG1 "Navigation and positioning receivers for road applications".

Bio
===
Miguel Ortiz is a research engineer at GEOLOC Laboratory from IFSTTAR. He received his M.Sc. degree in Mechanics, automation and engineering in 2001 from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers. He joined the lab after 6 years spent in a company where he managed systems architecture for automotive applications. Expert in embedded electronic systems, his scientific interests focus on sw/hw developments for both ITS and pedestrian navigation research field. Since 2017 he is the convenor of CEN/CENELEC TC5-WG1 named "Navigation and positioning receivers for road applications". He has now 12 years of experience in the GNSS domain (research engineer). Since 2019 he is the head deputy of GEOLOC laboratory in Nantes campus of Gustave Eiffel University.
