Michel DUCLOS is research director (1st class) at *INRAE (previously INRA* where he led the Avian Research Unit (*Unité de Recherches Avicoles*) from 2008 to 2016 (about 50 *INRA* holders). Since 2017, he is the coordinator of the Feed and Breeding System team (*AliSé*) in this unit, now called Avian Biology and Poultry Research (BOA). He is also co-responsible of the UMT BIRD ASTER project, a collaboration program between *INRAE* and the Technical Institutes (*ITAVI*, *SYSAAF* and *ITAB*) under the auspice of the French Ministry of Agriculture. He is also responsible of the *Groupe Filières Avicoles* of *INRAE*.

He has also given numerous lectures in France and abroad on these subjects, and has led the scientific organization of international congresses in the field of poultry science (European Poultry Conference, 2010) and, more specifically, the quality of poultry meat (Eggmeat 2015).
He is presently the Secretary of the French branch of the World Poultry Science Association. He has also been active at the European Federation of WPSA Branches and has led the European Working Group "Poultry Meat Quality "from 2010 to 2014.
