Marie Alauzen - Sociologist

Postdoc at Lisis (IFRIS grant), associated at the CSI

Marie Alauzen's
works are at the crossroad of science and technology studies (STS), the sociology of the state and the anthropology of writing. She conducts long-term investigations into the transformations in the relationship between State and society provoked by digital technologies.

She has defended her PhD thesis in 2019, at Ecole Mines ParisTech. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on the modernization of the State. It underlines the coordinated activity of State reform and, more particularly, the recent movements in France around the platform State (l'État plateforme) and the design of digital public services. In addition, she participated in the ORA project "Quantification, Administrative Capacity and Democracy" (2017-2018) and the
Responsiblity for digital identity Chair at Télécom Paris (2019-2020). She has also carried out an investigation in the fight against disinformation (2020-2021). Since 2017, she has also joined the Scriptopolis team, which has been dedicating for more than ten years a digital research notebook to the anthropology of writing.

She is currently engaged in a research project on the metamorphosis of law, in association with INRIA.
