Agricultural Engineer, graduated from the Federal University of Campina Grande (Brazil, April/2008), has a master's degree in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering from Iowa State University (USA, July/2010) and a Doctor Scientiae degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa, (Brazil, April/2014). Dr. Mendes has experience in (1) instrumentation and monitoring of aerial emissions from livestock barns, (2) animal bioenergetics, (3) mitigation of emissions based on management strategies and (4) use of modeling tools (CFD and mechanistic modeling) applied to biosystems engineering.
