Présentation

Lionel Pichon was born in Romorantin, France, on October 31, 1961. He received the Dip. Eng. from ESIEE Paris (Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Electronique et Electrotechnique) in 1984. In 1985 he joined the Laboratoire de Génie Electrique de Paris where he earned a PhD in electrical engineering in 1989. He got a position at the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) in 1989 and was appointed as CNRS senior researcher (Directeur de recherche au CNRS) in 2006. From 2002 to 2014, he was co-animator of the thematic group (GT1) (devoted to modeling) within the GDR Ondes (a broad network of french laboratories involved in the field of electromagnetic and acoustic waves). He was head of the team ICHAMS (Interactions between electromagnetic waves, materials and structures) between 2005 and 2014. From 2015 to 2020, he headed the PIEM research department (Physics and Engineering of Elecromagnetics) in GeePs (Group of electrical engineering of Paris, UMR 8507 CNRS - CentraleSupelec - Université Paris-Saclay - Sorbonne Université). From 2020 he is responsible of the center of expertise MEM (Electromagnetic and Multiphysics Modeling) of GeePs. His research interests include electromagnetic compatibility, wireless power transfer and computational electromagnetics.
