Lilian Besson

I am **Lilian Besson**, a former [student](http://www.math.ens-cachan.fr/version-francaise/haut-de-page/annuaire/besson-lilian-128754.kjsp) in Mathematics and Computer Science at [ENS de Cachan](http://www.ens-cachan.fr/version-anglaise/). I am a passionnate programmer, open-source enthusiast and young researcher in machine learning, learning theory and cognitive radio. From August 2019, I am now a junior professor (agrégé) at [ENS Rennes](http://www.dit.ens-rennes.fr/lilian-besson--292020.kjsp), in charge of the class preparing the "agrégation" national exam, with a major in mathematics and a minor in computer science, level M2, and in charge of lectures for [introduction and advanced algorithms](https://perso.crans.org/besson/info1_algo1_2019/). I am also an associate researcher with the [PANAMA team](https://team.inria.fr/panama/team-members/) at IRISA and INRIA Rennes. My research interests lie between sequential learning, tensor decomposition, cognitive radio, Python and open source software, and other directions. Between september *2016* and fall *2019* : - I was pursuing [my PhD](http://perso.crans.org/besson/phd/) at CentraleSupélec ([SCEE team](http://www.rennes.supelec.fr/ren/rd/scee/membres.html), [IETR lab](https://www.ietr.fr/spip.php?auteur1069)) in Rennes (France), with [Christophe Moy](http://www.rennes.supelec.fr/ren/perso/cmoy/recherche.php) and [Emilie Kaufmann](http://chercheurs.lille.inria.fr/ekaufman/research.html) ([Inria, SequeL team, CRIStAL lab, at Lille](https://team.inria.fr/sequel/team-members/)). My PhD is on multi-players multi-arms bandits models applied to radio-telecommunication, especially Internet-of-Things problems. I defended in November, and I now hold a PhD in telecommunications. - And I have been [teaching](http://perso.crans.org/besson/teaching.en.html) 64 hours by year, in theoretical computer science at [ENS Rennes](http://www.dit.ens-rennes.fr/agregation-option-d/) (for a class preparing for the "agrégation" national exam, with a major in mathematics and a minor in computer science, level M2), at [ENSAI](http://www.ensai.fr/formation/id-1re-annee.html) (complexity and calculabilty, level L3).

Je suis **Lilian Besson**, un ancien [élève](http://www.math.ens-cachan.fr/version-francaise/haut-de-page/annuaire/besson-lilian-128754.kjsp) en Mathématiques et Informatique à l'[ENS de Cachan](http://www.ens-cachan.fr/version-anglaise/). Je suis un programmeur passionné, défenseur du mouvement open-source et un jeune chercheur en apprentissage statistique, théorie de l'apprentissage machine et radio intelligente. Depuis août 2019, je suis désormais un jeune professeur agrégé (avec un statut d'agrégé préparateur) à l'[ENS Rennes](http://www.dit.ens-rennes.fr/lilian-besson--292020.kjsp), en charge de la préparation à l'agrégation de mathématiques, option informatique (au niveau M2), et en charge de cours pour l'[introduction à l'algorithmique et algorithmique avancée](https://perso.crans.org/besson/info1_algo1_2019/). Je suis également chercheur associé au sein de [l'équipe PANAMA](https://team.inria.fr/panama/team-members/) de l'IRISA et de l'INRIA Rennes. Mes intérêts de recherche se situent entre l'apprentissage séquentiel, les méthodes de décomposition tensorielles, la radio intelligente, Python et les logiciels libres, et d'autres directions. Depuis septembre *2016* jusqu'à l'automne *2019* : - J'effectuais [ma thèse de doctorat](http://perso.crans.org/besson/phd/) à CentraleSupélec ([Équipe SCEE](http://www.rennes.supelec.fr/ren/rd/scee/membres.html), [Laboratoire IETR](https://www.ietr.fr/spip.php?auteur1069)) à Rennes (France), avec [Christophe Moy](http://www.rennes.supelec.fr/ren/perso/cmoy/recherche.php) et [Emilie Kaufmann](http://chercheurs.lille.inria.fr/ekaufman/research.html) ([Inria, Équipe SequeL, Laboratoire CRIStAL, à Lille](https://team.inria.fr/sequel/team-members/)). Ma thèse porte sur les modèles de bandits multi-bras multi-joueurs appliqués aux radio-télécommunications, en particulier à des problèmes liés à l'Internet des Objets (IoT). Je suis désormais docteur en télécommunications. - Et j'[enseignais](http://perso.crans.org/besson/teaching.en.html) 64h / an en informatique théorique à l'[ENS Rennes](http://www.dit.ens-rennes.fr/agregation-option-d/) (pour la classe de préparation à l'agrégation de mathématiques, option informatique, niveau M2), à l'[ENSAI](http://www.ensai.fr/formation/id-1re-annee.html) (cours de complexité et calculabilté, niveau L3).
