LeonardDobrzynski obtained his Doctorate from the University Paris, France. He started his scientific career as an assistant professor at the Catholic University of Lille, France. Throughout his career, he joined the Atomic Energy Establishment in Saclay, the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) , the USA National Science Foundation, the University of California in Irvine, the Institute Laue-Langevin in Grenoble, the Spanish National Centre for Scientific Research in Madrid, University of Lille and more. He is a Research Professor. He is editor of the Garland Handbook of Surfaces and Interfaces and of the Elsevier Interface Transmission Tutorial Book Series, co-founder of Elsevier Surface Science Reports, co-author of the books Surface Phonons and Polaritons (Garland), Phononics, Magnonics, Photonics, Resonance (Elsevier) and about 300 journal articles.
