Education
1990 : Engineer in Material science, INSA Lyon
1996 : PhD in Material science, INSA Lyon, Relationship between process, morphology and behavior under high energy UV radiations of polytetrafluoroethylène
2012 : Accredition to supervise research, University of Montpellier 2, « Contribution to the study of degradation phenomena of polymers : role of fillers and reinforcements »
Research activities
My research works are focused on the study of degradation and stabilization of polymers and composites when exposed to various environmental stimuli (heat, flame, UV radiation, moisture, thermomechanical action,...) using an approach that tries to relate processing, structure and functional properties of materials. This dans une démarche mettant en relation la mise en œuvre, la structure et les propriétés des matériaux. Cette thématique se décline autour de 2 axes.
Topic 1 : Fire behavior of polymers : the aim is the improvement of the fire behavior of polymeric materials through the development of multi-component and environmentally friendly flame retardant systems and the investigation of their modes of action and the relationship between microstructure/fire behavior.
Topic 2 : Ageing of polymers and composites : works are dedicated to the characterization of composites and polymers ageing using a pluridisciplinary and multiscale approach.
