Laurent Dupont Professeur HDR


Laurent Dupont. Professor at Telecom Bretagne. He received his Engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie et Physique de Bordeaux, France, in 1986 (Institut Polytechnique de Bordeaux). He received his PhD degree from University of Bordeaux-I in 1990 in physics of Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal at the Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal. He then joined the Optics Department of TELECOM Bretagne in 1991 where he is in charge of electro-optical materials technology and in particular of liquid crystal technology. Since 2000, he also has worked on various aspects of polarization in lightwave systems, in particular on Polarization Mode Dispersion in optical fibers. He involved in projects in collaboration with industrial partners: Orange, TieTronix, spectrawave, Nexter Systems, Valeo, Evosens, etc. He also participated in 7 French national projects. He supervised 14 PhD students and he has authored or coauthored more than 90 journal and conferences publications principally in liquid crystal technology field. He is also the holder of 13 patents.
