Laurent Demagistri


 

Laurent Demagistri is an Ingeneer in scientific computing and geomatics, specialised in Remote Sensing and Spatial Data Infrastructures. His main activities consist in the development of workflows for the processing of satellite images and value-added products databases managment. His areas of expertise cover data registration and calibration, biogeophysical parameters, object or process detection.

Skills and Area of Expertise :

  • Scientific computing and Remote Sensing images processing:

Design and development of tools for processing remote sensing data streams : objects and processes detection out of images from various spatial resolutions (boats, palm trees, gradients, etc), images calibration and registration, bio-geophysical parameters calculation (Sea Surface Temperature and Chlorophyll concentration maps, Vegetation Indices, etc.).
Experience in C/C++/Java development, scripting languages and standard satellite images processing softwares (ENVI, ERDAS, OTB/Monteverdi, etc.).

  • Teaching and training experience in Remote Sensing

Responsible for several years of lectures and training sessions in several teaching structures (Master of science level students).
