Présentation
Laurent BRISSON received a Ph.D degree in Computer Science from Université Nice Sophia-Antipolis (France) in 2006. During his Ph.D he worked on the integration of expert knowledge in data mining processes in order to extract relevant information from human expert point of view.
In 2017, he joined IMT Atlantique (previously Telecom Bretagne) as an associate professor in the DECIDE team of the Lab-STICC laboratory. His research work in the field of data mining aims to take human beings into account at some point in the data analysis process. He has thus contributed to the definition of scoring models to raise awareness of breast cancer risk among primary prevention populations and has been interested in the analysis of feelings for automatic classification of comments.
Currently, his work focuses on the analysis of social networks along two axes: information dissemination and the detection of temporal communities.
Laurent BRISSON a obtenu un doctorat en informatique de l'Université Nice Sophia-Antipolis (France) en 2006. Pendant son doctorat, il a travaillé sur l'intégration de connaissances expertes dans les processus de fouille de données afin d'extraire des informations pertinentes du point de vue de l'expert humain.
En 2017, il a rejoint IMT Atlantique (anciennement Telecom Bretagne) en tant que professeur associé dans l'équipe DECIDE du laboratoire Lab-STICC. Ses travaux de recherche dans le domaine de la fouille de données visent à prendre en compte l'humain à un moment donné du processus d'analyse des données. Il a ainsi contribué à la définition de modèles de scoring pour la sensibilisation au risque de cancer du sein auprès des populations en prévention primaire et s'est intéressé à l'analyse des sentiments pour la classification automatique des commentaires.
Actuellement, ses travaux portent sur l'analyse des réseaux sociaux selon deux axes : la diffusion de l'information et la détection de communautés temporelles.
