Julie Le Cardinal est professeur d’université à CentraleSupélec, dans le laboratoire Génie Industriel. Son domaine de recherche concerne l’ingénierie de la conception (Design Engineering). Elle s’intéresse plus particulièrement à découvrir de nouvelles méthodologies pour la conception et le management de projets dans des environnements complexes. Elle travaille sur les problématiques d’aide à la décision, de choix d’acteurs et de modélisation de systèmes complexes techniques et organisationnels. L’un des terrains d’application de ses recherches est le domaine de la santé, dans lequel les problématiques d’innovation, d’ingénierie système et de modélisation des attentes en termes de création de valeurs sont cruciales.

Elle est responsable scientifique et pédagogique d’une option de troisième année du cycle d’ingénieur, option Génie Industriel et d’un mastère spécialisé en Management et Direction de Projets. Julie Le Cardinal est également directrice du département d’enseignement Sciences de l’Entreprise de CentraleSupélec.
Julie Le Cardinal est membre de la Design Society et responsable du Special Interest Group sur Decision Making de la Design Society.
