Research focuses : soil water and mineral constraints in relation to forest stands at different spatio-temporal scales.

  • TREE scale : monitoring of growth dynamics and fine root phenology of forest species (Beech and Oak)

  • STAND level : site ecological characterization, diagnose the edaphic constraints, link them with growth, dieback or mortality.

  • GLOBAL scale : quantification of water stress on trees by combining a water balance modelling approach (Biljou ®), use of existing database.
