Associate professor in information and communication sciences


Joachim Schöpfel is associate professor in information and communication sciences at the University of Lille and consultant in the field of scientific and technical information. Director of the departement "Information and Document Sciences" from 2009 to 2012, he was head of the National Centre on the Reproduction of Theses from 2012 to 2018. He is a researcher of the GERiiCO laboratory and in charge of the first year of the Master Information-Document. Holder of a thesis in psychology from the University of Hamburg, he worked from 1991 to 2008 at the CNRS Institute of Scientific and Technical Information. His research projects and publications focus on the evolution of scientific communication and the services and devices of the STI.
