Jérôme Yon is assistant professor at CORIA laboratory (CNRS, University and INSA of Rouen) since 2004. Its Research activity is motivated by the characterization of emission factor, size, morphology, composition and optical properties of soot particles formed in flames. He is specialized in the development of optical metrology of soot particles in gas phase (analysis of extinction spectra measurements, angular light scattering, laser-induced incandescence and depolarization ratio measurements ) and modelization of the aggregation process and numerical calculation of the radiative properties of fractal aggregates. He has also an expertise in the characterization of fractal aggregates by non-optical techniques. He obtained the habilitation to conduct researches in 2014 at Rouen University. He has already coordinated different projects including one founded by the LABEX EMC3 and another one by Carnot ESP. He participated to 19 national and European projects. He has been referee for different journals (Flow Turbulence and Combustion, Applied Phys. B : Laser and Optics, Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer, Energy and Fuels, Aerosols Science and Technology, Proceeding of the Combustion Institute, Journal of Aerosol Science).
