Présentation

[Islam Boussaada](https://l2s.centralesupelec.fr/u/boussaada-islam/) received his Master (Maîtrise) in Mathematics from [Carthage University](http://www.ucar.rnu.tn/), and an M.Sc. degree in Pure Mathematics from [University Paris 7](https://u-paris.fr/) in 2004. In December 2008, he defended his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from [University of Rouen Normandy](https://www.univ-rouen.fr/). In June 2016, he received his HDR degree (French Habilitation) in Physics from [University Paris Saclay](https://www.universite-paris-saclay.fr/). In 2010, IB was appointed for one year as a post-doctoral fellow in the control of time-delay systems at L2S, Université Paris Saclay, [CentraleSupelec](https://www.centralesupelec.fr/)-[CNRS](https://www.cnrs.fr/fr/page-daccueil). From September 2011 until September 2017, he has been an associate professor at [IPSA](https://www.ipsa.fr/) and an associate researcher at [MODESTY](https://l2s.centralesupelec.fr/poles/automatique-systemes/modesty/) Team of [L2S](https://l2s.centralesupelec.fr/). Since October 2017, IB is appointed associate researcher at DISCO Team and full professor at IPSA where he headed the Aeronautical and Aerospace Systems department from September 2017 till May 2019. From September 2018 untill August 2020, IB has been a researcher in temporary secondment at [Inria Saclay-DISCO Team](https://team.inria.fr/disco/fr/team-members/). Since then, IB research interests belong to the qualitative theory of dynamical systems and its application in control problems. It includes stability analysis and stabilization of linear/nonlinear dynamical systems, analysis of parametric systems, analysis of delay induced dynamics, non hyperbolic dynamics, analysis of algebraic differential systems, control of active vibrations, modelling the CNS action on the Human balance, analysis of biochemical networks dynamics. IB is co-author of [a monograph](https://www.springer.com/gp/book/9783319157467) and co-editor of [a contributed book](https://www.springer.com/gp/book/9783030115531), both published in Springer series, as well as co-author of more than 130 peer-reviewed publications. IB is also co-author and director of the project [**P3δ**](https://iboussaa.gitlabpages.inria.fr/partial-pole-placement-via-delay-action/P3d-Home.html) dedicated to the parametric control design software for partial pole placement via delay action. The version 1.6 of P3δ is set down in November 2023 by the "Agence pour la Protection des Programmes". He also co-organized the [4th GDRI DelSys](http://web1.lss.supelec.fr/delsys2015/Site/Welcome.html)'s Workshop on Observing and Controlling Complex Dynamical Systems (November 2015), as well as the [1st GDRI Spa-Disco](https://decod2017.sciencesconf.org/)'s workshop on Delays and Constraints in Distributed Parameters Systems (November 2017), both funded by CNRS and held at CentraleSupelec (Gif sur Yvette). Since 2023, IB is also the co-organiser of the conference series [Control Theory and Inverse Problems](https://ctip.sciencesconf.org) (CTIP). IB is the co-organiser of several thematic/invited sessions in international conferences on the topic "Frequency domain methods for qualitative analysis of Time-delay Systems"; the 20th and 22st World Congress of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) (Toulouse, July 2017, Berlin, July 2020 and Yokohama 2023) and the 13th-17th IFAC Workshop on Time-delay Systems (Istanbul 2016, Budapest 2018, Sinaia 2019, Hong Kong 2021, Montréal 2022). IB will co-chair the programm comittee of the coming [18th IFAC Workshop on Time-delay Systems](https://tds2024.uniud.it) which will be held in September, 24-27, 2024, Udine, Italy. From September 2018 to September 2023, IB has been co-leader of the national research group CT OSYDI of the [SAGIP](https://www.sagip.org/fr/conseil-dadministration) where he is a member of the bord of directors since its creation in 2019. In 2023, IB has been a commitee member and the SAGIP representative for the 2023 Prize for the best PhD thesis Award of the GdR MACS, the Automatic section of the EEA Club and SAGIP. From September 2018 to December 2020, IB has been also is a deputy director of the [IRS iCODE Institute](http://www.icode-institute.fr/) of the IDEX Paris Saclay. Since 2020, he is member of the [IFAC](https://www.ifac-control.org/) Technical Committee on Linear Control Systems (TC 2.2).
