Inka Wissner is a researcher in the field of regional French. After a Master's degree in French and English at the University of Bonn, she completed an interdisciplinary PhD combining variational linguistics, pragmatics and literary theories (Bonn/Paris 2010). She is now an associate professor at the University of Bourgogne Franche-Comté in France. Inka Wissner has authored some thirty scientific publications, including "La Vendée dans l'écriture littéraire" (2013), which has received numerous reviews. Her work covers various fields of French and Francophone linguistics, including lexicology, lexicography and metalexicography, the adjective/adverb interface, historical linguistics, sociolinguistics, dialectology, contact linguistics, discourse analysis, fieldwork methodology as well as statistical data processing.
