Je me suis en particulier spécialisée sur le développement des compétences cognitives et langagières par les personnes migrantes en séjour à durée déterminée ou indéterminée. Depuis 2017, j’étudie le rôle (i) du contexte d’acquisition (facteurs socioculturels est socialisation langagière) et du (ii) développement de l’interculturation et de la sensibilité culturelle chez les arabophones syriens en situation d’exil et de réinstallation en France. J’ai entamé, plus récemment (septembre 2023) une collaboration visant à étudier le développement acquisitionnel par les étudiants en séjour linguistique dans mon département DEFLE. Tous ces travaux sont multidisciplinaires, sont menés dans une perspective longitudinale et adressent les thématiques suivantes : 1. Interaction entre le développement cognitif, conceptuel et langagier et l'adaptation au nouveau contexte, tel qu’elle se manifeste dans le rapport à l’altérité, ou la sensibilité interculturelle dans la société d'accueil (Projets SOFRA et CLASS). 2. Liens entre la socialisation langagière des apprenants résidant en France pour une longue durée / durée indéterminée et le développement langagier. Il s’agit d’étudier le rôle des facteurs contextuels dans l’acquisition langagière (comme les dynamiques de socialisation dans la société d’accueil, les réseaux d’interaction en langue seconde, l’accès à la langue cible, les affordances des apprenants) (Projet SOFRA). 3. Étant donné mon intérêt pour les migrants apprenant la langue dans des conditions difficiles, je m’interroge sur les spécificités de ce public par rapport à d’autres publics d’étudiants universitaires (par ex, les étudiants en mobilité internationale qui ont reçu beaucoup plus d’attention). 4. Partant de l’hypothèse de la relativité linguistique, j’étudie la perception et l'encodage des événements en français L2 par des apprenants ayant une langue première éloignée (l’arabe tunisien , l’arabe syrien, (prochainement) le suédois). Je m’intéresse, depuis mon projet de thèse à la sélection et à l’encodage des événements dans une tâche narrative, ainsi qu’au développement de l’expression de la temporalité par les apprenants arabophones. Mon travail porte également sur une catégorie cognitive qui a reçu très peu d’attention dans les travaux sur l’encodage et la perception des événements : la causalité. L’investigation de cette catégorie cognitive implique de s’intéresser aux événements complexes (macro-events) et liés dans une chaine causale. Aussi, elle permet d’étudier l’interaction de phénomènes dépassant les effets des structures langagières et qui portent sur des variables socioculturelles comme par exemple, les schémas expérientiels et culturels. 5. In particular, I specialize in the development of cognitive and language skills by migrants on fixed-term or indefinite stays. Since 2017, I have been studying the role of (i) acquisition context (socio-cultural factors and language socialization) and (ii) the development of interculturation and cultural sensitivity among Syrian Arabic speakers in exile and resettlement in France. More recently (September 2023), I have begun a collaboration aimed at studying acquisitional development by students on language stays in my DEFLE department. All this work is multidisciplinary, longitudinal and addresses the following themes: 1. Interaction between cognitive, conceptual and language development and adaptation to the new context, as manifested in the relationship to otherness, or intercultural sensitivity in the host society (SOFRA and CLASS projects). 2. Links between the language socialization of learners living in France for a long/indefinite period and language development. The aim is to study the role of contextual factors in language acquisition (such as socialization dynamics in the host society, second-language interaction networks, access to the target language, learners' affordances) (SOFRA project). 3. Given my interest in migrants learning language under difficult conditions, I'm wondering about the specificities of this audience compared to other university student audiences (e.g., international mobility students, who have received much more attention). 4. Starting from the hypothesis of linguistic relativity, I study the perception and encoding of events in L2 French by learners with a distant first language (Tunisian Arabic, Syrian Arabic, (soon) Swedish). Since my thesis project, I have been interested in the selection and encoding of events in a narrative task, as well as in the development of the expression of temporality by Arabic-speaking learners. My work also focuses on a cognitive category that has received very little attention in work on the encoding and perception of events: causality. Investigating this cognitive category involves looking at complex events (macro-events) linked in a causal chain. It also makes it possible to study the interaction of phenomena that go beyond the effects of language structures and involve socio-cultural variables such as experiential and cultural patterns. 5.
