 Academic appointments

I am a permanent research fellow in the anthropology department at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). I hold a PhD in economics from the University of Paris Dauphine (2011). Between 2011 and 2013, I have lectured at the University of Paris Diderot and hold a post-doctoral position in the Human Economy Programme, University of Pretoria (South Africa).

Since 2017, I am invited at the University of Geneva (Department of Social Sciences).

My research focus on monetary practices in Argentina’s popular economy. I have been interested in the use of local currencies known as trueque, which used to tap part of the urban second hand economy. Today, I work on financialization from below, focusing on the changing form of households’ debt and saving practices in Rosario’s industrial area. I'm also engaged in a comparative reflexion on how financialization impacts people's livelihood, thanks to the fruitful collaboration with close colleagues (Isabelle Guérin, Solène Morvant-Roux and Emilia Schijman).
