Guillaume Rivière is an Assistant Professor at ESTIA Institute of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, specialized in Human-Computer Interaction (University of Bordeaux, 2009), and is Allowed for Ph.D. Directorship (University of Bordeaux, 2015). He is qualified as a Lecturer (Section CNU 27). He teaches programming and management information systems to engineering students at ESTIA, and lectures on tangible interfaces in ESTIA's engineering cycle and ubiquitous computing in the master's program at the University of Montpellier. His main field of research is tangible interaction since 2005. His research focuses on studying the properties of tangible user interfaces and on the classification of tangible user interfaces. His research applies to geophysics, archaeology, and, more recently, the integration of renewable energies. He created and co-leaded the AFIHM Tangible Interaction working group from 2011 to 2018. Since 2019, he is co-leading the AFIHM Persuasive Interaction for Sustainability working group (PISTIL). He is a member of SIF, AFIHM, and ACM.
