Présentation
I am a paleobiologist developing a paleontological, biogeographical and macroecological research programme focused on characterising the ***patterns, rhythms and modalities of biodiversity variations on a large spatio-temporal scale***. My long-term scientific objective is to arrive at a better description and understanding of the evolutionary dynamics, underlying macroevolutionary and macroecological mechanisms and, ultimately, influence of external factors (geography, climate, environment s.l.) driving the spatial variability and temporal evolution of biodiversity on different spatial and temporal scales, with a special emphasis on fossil to extant biological crisis time intervals, including the Anthropocene.
