*Gerard Meunier is Dipl.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (INPG), France, in 1977. He received his PhD from the INPG in 1981. He joined the [CNRS](https://www.alpes.cnrs.fr/fr) in 1982 in the [Grenoble Electrical Engineering Laboratory (G2Elab)](https://g2elab.grenoble-inp.fr/en) where he is presently CNRS Emeritus Senior Researcher in the [“Models, Methods and Methodologies Applied to Electrical Engineering” research team (MAGE group)](https://g2elab.grenoble-inp.fr/en/research/mage).
