Présentation

> ### **CNRS Researcher** > > ##### 01/10/2020 - Present > [UMR 7194 "Histoire Naturelle de l'Homme Préhistorique"](https://hnhp.mnhn.fr/fr), CNRS-MNHN-UPVD > > Throughout the course of evolution, numerous selective phenomena driven by various environmental pressures have resulted in an incredible diversification of vertebrate organisms. This intricate process has given rise to a wide array of morphological adaptations intricately linked to specific locomotor abilities. > My research is motivated by the quest to uncover the intricate relationships between morphology (form) and locomotor capabilities (function). > In this context, I have a particular fascination with the locomotor evolution of the human lineage, taking a broad comparative approach that encompasses the evolution of primates, their various postural and locomotor modes, and most notably bipedal walking, and the mechanical and energetic constraints associated with locomotion. > In essence, my approach is integrative and unfolds on three distinct levels of analysis: > > 1) Examining the intrinsic features of locomotor systems, such as body inertia properties and the analysis of body proportions; > > 2) Delving into the biomechanics of motion, including 2D and 3D kinematics, spatio-temporal parameters of walking, and physiological aspects such as muscle activity and motor control; > 3) Investigating postural and locomotor behaviours exhibited during daily activities and their connection to the structural demands of the environment, including substrates properties. ### **Professional Experience** **February 2019 - September 2020 :** Postdoctoral researcher - HoBiS Project (ANR) **UMR 7194 "Histoire Naturelle de l'Homme Préhistorique", CNRS-MNHN-UPVD*** **August 2017 - January 2019 :** Postdoctoral researcher - **Functional Morphology (FunMorph) Lab" University of Antwerp, Belgium*** ### **Diploma** **March 2017 -** PhD in Science : Biology Department, University of Antwerp, Belgium **June 2012 -** Master in Ethology : Sciences, Technologies, Santé, Université Paris 13, France **June 2010 -** Bachelor in Psychology : Institut de Psychologie et de Sociologie Appliquées, Université Catholique de l'Ouest, France ### **Grant et Award** **2022** - PEPS INEE : SyNTés **2022** - Projet MNHN *fédérateur* : LOBO-4 **2017** - Best PhD thesis, Société d'Anthropologie de Paris (SAP) **2016** - PhD thesis award, Société Francophone De Primatologie (SFDP) ### **Scientific publication et production** Scientific articles (peer-reviewed journals) : **21** (18 as a 1st author) Oral presentations in congress : **26** (3 posters & 23 oral presentations) Seminars : **9** Publications for Popular Science : **3** Public Lecture : **2** ### **Activity and responsability** **2018 - Present** Editor of the "Revue de Primatologie" ### **Scientific society** **2018 - Present** Elected member of the SFDP - Administrative committee
