Research interests: my current research mainly focuses on rediscovering aspects of private life in the Victorian era. I'm working on a book project (inspired by my PHD thesis on sentimental culture and the sexual mores of young and unmarried couples in late Victorian London) entitled: "Criminal conversation": Late Victorian Youth, Love and Illicit Sexuality. This study is based on the archives of the London Foundling Hospital.
